EnTech GreenVillains - infiltrating young minds one robot at a time
EnTech is an after-school program focusing on engineering and technology that meets in the Waggoner Building at Greenville Technical College in Greenville, South Carolina.
Our main programs are our three FIRST Robotics competition teams.
The program is made possible by the generosity of our sponsors and the dedication of our mentors and volunteers.
Although Greenville Technical Charter High School is our official high school sponsor, EnTech is open to all public, private, and home-schooled high school students from Greenville County.
For a list of the schools that our students go to, see the Sponsors and Schools page.
We also have robotics teams for elementary and middle school students.
FIRST
FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) is a national organization whose mission is "to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership."
Their main programs are the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), FIRST LEGO League (FLL), and Junior FIRST LEGO League (JFLL), but they also hold traveling workshops and camps.
Every year, FRC, FTC, FLL, and JFLL each has as different game.
For FRC, this year's game is called LOGO MOTION.
